So, some friends of mine and I were discussing things we liked to cook. Many of us don't always have tons of time, what with real life, kids and all that good stuff, so we were looking for fun, delicious, easy treats to make. I mentioned a treat my mum used to make, long ago, and they were hooked. It's beyond simple, and if you enjoy peanut butter, it can be addicting. After discussing it further, I decided, why not share it with everyone else. So, without further a do, here is my simple recipe for amazing peanut butter treats.
1/2 cup clear karo corn syrup
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups corn flakes
Take the corn syrup and sugar and mix it in a pot over medium heat. Bring it up until boiling. Add in the peanut butter and stir until creamy. Remove from heat and pour into bowl of corn flakes. Stir until the corn flakes are fully covered. Do spoon drops of the mixture onto a cookie sheet and let air cool.
And that's it everyone. Very simple and delicious. If you want to make a bigger batch, just double the amounts. :)
Enjoy and happy fall!!!
